There is always Manchester for a city day, shopping or sightseeing travelling from the local train station one mile from Woodlands which takes 20 minutes on the train. Woodlands is run by Judy and Brian Mairs. Judy has been selected as a top 20 finalist in the prestigious AA ?Landlady Of The Year? event in 2003, 2004 and 2006 and 2008. The tearoom was nominated in the Derbyshire Food and Drinks Award 2008/9 and was runner up in the Top tearoom in all of Derbyshire, beating very stiff competition.
